Gas

Tuesday, General Motors announced that they will be closing four truck and suv plants. The company is considering dropping the Hummer Line.  People can’t afford to put gas in these large vehicles.

I mentioned on the air that is cost me $50.00 to fill up a Honda Accord. Gas prices are getting out of hand!.  This subject prompted P1’s to call  in-or send a text message to express thier opinions. Here is what you said: P1 Elite Nate says it costs him $840.40 a month in gas. (That is the two of his truck payments.)  P1 Zenny says that she is going to get a horse and buggy.  P1Fed Ex Guy says don’t get a diesel truck because diesel prices or very high. Its costs him $350.00 to fill up,   P1 that girl says that her Ford Focus costs her $43.00 to fill up. P1 Mufiin man says he gets sick everytime he fills up his tank, because it costs him $500.00. P1 300zx says to drive a Honda or crotch rocket.  It costs him $30.00.  P1 Palmetto girl says she pays $35.00 to fil up a Cavilier.

Inconclusion, P1 SnakeBoy called in to say that he heard  gas is in now $11.00 a gallon in London. Our Government needs to step up and do something. What if this is they way it is going to be for the rest of our lives. Could gas prices get any higher?

Feel free to leave your thoughts or comments.

It is not only our government that needs to step up, but us as a community. We need to start biking more, walking more. Stop using our cars so damn much. Sure, it’s not practical when you live 30 minutes away from work, but when you just run down the street. What is stopping you from getting a bike and riding down there?
When you are sitting in your car outside a store…shut your car off. It’s the little things.
Yes, our government needs to take some part in it. But what more can they do then urge inventors to make a car that is affordable AND gas free? What do we want? a magic wand? We need to start with ourselves first. STOP buying the gas guzzling SUVs. STOP running your car when you don’t need to. WALK or BIKE.

I agree about the gas prices. It is causing me to get gas and tumms arent helping. I happen to drive a Ram truck and the cost of that bugger is over a hundred a week. I can’t afford to trade it in for the smaller car which will no doubt skyrocket in price. America needs to stop driving for two days a week. I will bet money that the gas will come down. It is all about supply and demand, and right now, I demand that the prices they are supplying come down. This country is slowly being forced into a rich man poor man Two classes will their be, the rich and the poor, Paige, I will see you in the poor house, if not, May I shine your shoes???

Cars in London are also twice as energy efficient. They realized long ago we would be facing a gas crisis and began the necessary changes to aid it. Meanwhile, oil companies in the US said “no, we don’t want to do that b/c we wouldn’t make as much money”. So the gov’t said “ok” and here we are today.
